Search Underway for Missing 85-Year-Old Woman on Øyerfjellet in Innlandet

Volunteer crews are looking for a missing 85-year-old woman on Øyerfjellet in Innlandet. The police are assisting in the search with a helicopter, dogs and a drone.

On Sunday evening, the police received a report of a missing person, who was on a walk on Øyerfjellet in Øyer municipality with another person.

– We were notified of the incident at 9.30pm, says operations manager of the Innlandet police district, Atle Bernhoft von Obstfelder.

The missing person is an 85-year-old woman.

– Report of a missing person in the mountains. 2 people joined together. Separated teams at some point, and an 85-year-old lady has not made it to Bøsætra.

Several volunteer resources, two dogs and a drone assist in the search.

Air ambulance and police helicopter are involved in the search after being prevented by bad weather.

– The helicopters now have the opportunity to search the area due to better weather, the police write.
