New York State Police are searching for a 9-year-old girl who was reportedly kidnapped Saturday night while camping with her family.
Charlotte Sena was last seen at Lake Moreau State Park in Saratoga County, about 50 miles north of Albany, around 6:15 p.m., wearing an orange Pokemon t-shirt, dark blue pants, and black Crocs. and a gray bicycle helmet. Lt. Col. Richard Mazzone told reporters Sunday that police determined it was “very possible” that Charlotte had been kidnapped after their “exhaustive search” in the park.

Gov. Kathy Hochul told reporters that Charlotte and her family were camping just 15 minutes from where the girl and her sisters grew up. Shortly before her disappearance, Charlotte had cycled Circuit A of the park with family friends, and she said that she wanted to do a circuit more alone, the governor explained at the press conference.
Fifteen minutes later, when she had not returned, her parents and the surrounding campers organized a search, calling her name. According to Mazzone, at 6:45 pm Charlotte’s bicycle was found on the circuit and, two minutes later, her mother called 911 to report her missing. By 7 p.m., state police were already on the scene, according to Hochul.
