Police helicopters, rescue dogs and volunteer search crews on the ground are now searching for a man in his 20s in the area by Gråhøe in Vågå municipality in the Inland.
– The search is in full swing, says operations manager in the Police in the Inland, Haagen Løvseth.
The man who was to go for an evening walk at 19:30 from a cabin in the area on Tuesday night did not return at the agreed time.
A few hours later, the man was reported missing.
– We received a message around 11 pm on Tuesday night. The man was to go on a two-three-hour trip to the mountain Gråhøe in Vågå, but has not returned, says Løvseth.

Not known in the area
Løvseth says that they do not have the opportunity to get in touch with the man. He does not have a telephone with him.
He was relatively thinly dressed, and should not be known in the area he has walked.
The man was wearing orange shorts and a white t-shirt when he went on the evening trip. He is about 180 centimeters tall.
– We have searched in the higher areas, and are now looking in the forest areas somewhat lower down on the mountainside, says Løvseth.
