Search for thieves operating in Pilsen, Bridgeport and Chinatown | Univision Chicago WGBO

CHICAGO, Illinois. – Chicago Police report that a wave of house robberies is affecting several areas of the city. That is why he advises that if you live in Pilsen, Bridgeport or Chinatown, secure your doors and windows well.

The authorities have received at least 3 reports of individuals who end up taking what they can from the homes. Three of the most recent incidents occurred in the 2000 blocks south of Canal Street on December 21, 500 west of 29th Street on December 24, and 300 south of 24th Street just 3 days ago.

Authorities advise you to keep the perimeter of your property well lit, report any suspicious activity, and keep doors and windows secured. Also immediately repair any broken windows, doors, or locks, and if surveillance video is available, save and make a copy of the incident to give to the detectives in charge of the investigation.

Also, it is important that if you are a victim, you do not touch anything and call the police immediately. If a witness approaches you, ask for their contact information.
