Employees of the hospital on Dresdner Strasse called the police after the 52-year-old disappeared. Together with the fire brigade, the clinic area and Zeisigwald were searched – with helicopters and sniffer dogs. Unsuccessful: why the search was made public.

Over the weekend, missing persons flyers from Edina appeared everywhere in the Chemnitz city area. The 52-year-old’s family had published a Facebook appeal: “The more people know about it and the more people are looking for it, the more likely it is that it will be found soon.”

Now the sad certainty: The 52-year-old is dead. She was found lifeless on Sunday afternoon. “An emergency doctor who was called in could only determine the woman’s death,” said a police spokesman. And further: “There is no evidence of third-party negligence.”

TAG24 does not typically report on possible suicides or self-harm. But since the police publicly searched for the missing person, the editors decided to address it after all.

If you are affected by thoughts of suicide yourself, you will find contact persons around the clock at the telephone counseling service, anonymously of course. Telephone counseling: 08001110111 or 08001110222 or 08001110116123.
