A new update on research on Sunday

The hunter got lost after leaving his gabion in the Bay of Veys, on the border of the English Channel and Calvados, Thursday January 11, 2024. The young man himself alerted the emergency services on the morning of Thursday January 11, 2024, between 6 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., telling them that he had gotten lost in the Baie des Veys while returning from the hunting gabion. Helicopter, nautical brigades from Granville and Ouistreham were dispatched, gendarmes from Psig, companies from Saint-Lô and Bayeux too.

Volunteers, hunters and boaters joined the search. The young man’s rifle was found on Friday. Colonel Sébastien Lesage, commander of the Manche gendarmerie group, specified at the start of the evening that a new update would be made this Sunday, January 14, 2024.
