The man is a police officer with the St.Gallen cantonal police. Despite intensive searches, they have so far not been able to be recovered.

According to initial findings, three people crossed the river above the waterfall. Two people were carried away, plunged into the Felseggfall and were apparently unable to free themselves there.

The search for the missing people was stopped at midnight, but is scheduled to resume this morning. The missing persons are a 26-year-old Swiss and a 30-year-old Swiss. They both live in the area. The man is a police officer with the St.Gallen cantonal police.

During the five-hour search, divers from the St.Gallen cantonal police and the Thurgau cantonal police were also deployed.
