The search for the missing 14-year-old German girl at sea has been definitively discontinued, the Friesland police report on Twitter. The girl disappeared while swimming on Saturday evening. Rescue workers have been looking for her ever since.
Yesterday is another one in the search underwater drone deployed. According to the police, the search area in the sea has now been extensively searched. Therefore, the search is stopped. However, the beaches are checked to see if the girl’s body has washed up, the police say.
The German girl disappeared into the sea on Saturday evening while watching the sunset with her sister. She was probably swept away by a strong current. On Sunday, the rescue service KNRM already assumed that she had not survived.
