Search and Rescue (SAR) Netherlands is on its way to Stad with dog handlers and dogs to search for 25-year-old Thomas van Zeeuwijk Vink. He has been missing since 12:30 am on Friday night from the Kattenhage in Groningen. SAR announced this on its Facebook page.
“He is wearing a black shirt, dark pants and white Reebok shoes,” SAR said. ‘His family has asked us to help with this disappearance. We ask residents of Groningen to check the camera images between Kattenhage and Eerste Hunzestraat.’
“We take into account that Thomas was on his way to Eerste Hunzestraat, possibly via Turfsingel,” the police said. ‘As far as we know he didn’t get there. If you live on that route, we ask you to view images from a dashcam or a camera doorbell from midnight onwards.’
After 11 p.m., the police received help from a Coast Guard helicopter, which flew circles above the Diepenring.
