the U.S. Poker Open ended last night at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas with a real bang. The American Sean Winter celebrated his second win in a row and was crowned US Poker Open Champion 2022.
Winter had won the $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em and $440,000 the day before and was one of seven players to reach the final of the final $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em (Event #12).
Winter started the finale sixth in chips, but then went berserk again, beating Japan’s Masashi Oya ($504,000) heads-up for another $756,000 in premium.
In addition, Winter overtook Tamon Nakamura in the ‘Player of the Series’ standings, earning him the Golden Eagle Trophy and a $50,000 Championship Bonus.
