Sean “Diddy” Combs asks for dismissal of sexual assault lawsuit filed by Jane Doe

Background

Sean “Diddy” Combs, the renowned rapper, has requested the dismissal of a lawsuit brought against him by Jane Doe. The lawsuit alleges sexual assault, but Combs argues that the statute of limitations has expired. This filing was reported by TMZ.

Combs claims omitted crucial information

Combs’ motion to dismiss the complaint states that the lawsuit fails to include vital details. According to Combs, “The sparse amendments to the original complaint cannot remedy the falsehoods and incurable defects in the new pleading. Like the original complaint, it fails to state any viable claim and must be dismissed.”

Missing specifics in the lawsuit

Combs’ filing further argues that the plaintiff cannot establish the exact day or time of the alleged incident yet claims to recall explicit details. Combs seeks the dismissal of the case, with prejudice, in order to safeguard his reputation and prevent unnecessary waste of judicial resources.

Jane Doe’s lawsuit

Jane Doe filed her lawsuit in December 2023, alleging that Combs drugged, gang-raped, and sex-trafficked her when she was 17 years old in 2003.

Details of the alleged incident

According to Doe, after encountering Harve Pierre, the former president of Combs’ record label, in a Detroit nightclub, Pierre facilitated a meeting with Combs. While in New York City, Doe asserts that she was coerced into oral sex with Pierre, who was under the influence of crack cocaine. Doe’s lawsuit states, “While at the studio, Ms. Doe was gang-raped by Mr. Combs, the Third Assailant, and Mr. Pierre, in that order.” Doe alleges that Combs forced himself upon her while she was leaning over a bathroom sink.

Doe describes another instance of rape by the third assailant while she pleaded for it to stop. Pierre is then accused of another rape and forced oral sex. Doe adds that she was in severe pain afterward.

Doe avows that she was helped into a vehicle to be taken back to the airport and recalls limited memories of her return to Michigan. She has also provided images taken on the night of the incident, leaving little doubt about her presence with Combs in his New York City studio.

Additional lawsuits and ongoing investigation

Combs is facing similar lawsuits by three other women and one man, all of which he vehemently denies. Furthermore, he is the subject of a federal sex trafficking investigation, with Homeland Security conducting raids on his Los Angeles and Miami mansions. However, no charges have been filed against him yet.
