Summer continues at the Arena on Saturday August 14, with the unmistakable “The Band from New-York” arriving from the Avignon Festival.
The Band from New York is an American-Toulouse burlesque duo that boosts the international variety with panache. The Band is an all-terrain singer-imitator (real name Matthieu Mailhé) able to cover without discrimination Elvis, Brel or Cloclo. At his side, the phlegmatic pianist Bruno (Thibault Deblâche) clings: replacing a big band off the cuff armed with a simple wig, it’s complicated … Sequins, delirious visual gags, pieces of instrumental bravery, these madmen do not will stop at nothing to win their bet: make you cry with laughter.
Meeting on Saturday August 14, at the Arena, from 7 pm: welcome and “First fruits of the Arena” with Céline Pique, Thierry de Chaunac, Reynald Rivart. At 8 pm, meal in the garden, on the menu: garlic tourin / duckling fillet with orange – generous mash / fruit. At 9:30 p.m., show “The Band from New-York”.
