Seattle Seahawks (9-4) – New-York Jets (0-13) : 40-3
Seattle fans have experienced, once, a quiet Sunday night. The franchise dominated the game from start to finish, relying on a solid defense (185 yards allowed, 3 sacks, 1 turnover) and an attack led by a Russell Wilson (21/27, 206 yards, 4TD, 1INT) more “Distributor” than the past few weeks.
Seattle in management but well helped
If New York returns to its match well with a field goal (0-3) from the start, that’s about all the attack achieves in this first half. To be more “fair”, the Jets are capable of some advances in the opposing camp but saw their kicker miss three kicks in one half …
Unsurprisingly, Seattle doesn’t need to strain its talent to pull through in such a context. The locals opened the scoring in their first two series with touchdowns (14-3) from Freddie Swain and DK Metcalf (6rec, 61 yards, 1TD).

The Seahawks attack even adds a field goal and a touchdown through Chris Carson (12 races, 76 yards, 1TD) just before the break to take off and lead 23-3 when returning to the locker room.
The new Jets crash
The second half is much more complicated for Sam Darnold (14/26, 132 yards) and his teammates who follow the 3 & out and only gain 15 yards in attack. On the other hand, his defense is exceeded as soon as the restart and on several occasions …
Indeed, Seattle puts on the touchdowns like pearls: 2 sets, 2 touchdowns. Each time, Russell Wilson found his targets quite easily and the gap quickly climbed to 37-3. The moment chosen by Pete Carroll to put his offensive stars to rest and give control of the attack to Geno Smith even before the end of the third quarter. The former Jets at least has the pleasure of leading his team to three more points (40-3) after a long series of eight minutes.
With this victory, Seattle returns to contact with the Rams and remains on the lookout to reclaim the first place in the division. As for the Jets, they are still getting a little closer to the first choice of the next Draft and a sad season without a win.
