Because: there is really no one who can remember, or even remember the stories that these ‘bluebells’ (wild hyacinths) ever occurred here. And this spring, tens of thousands suddenly emerged at once.
Ancient Seeds
They arose from seeds that have been in the soil for at least several centuriessay the administrators of the area.

The reason for this is probably related to the work in the area. For centuries, the hill in question has been covered with only grass and ferns.
Soil disturbed
Since last year, the managers have been planting trees en masse to make a small forest area. The ferns were mowed and the soil was disturbed, reactivating the old seed bulbs.

Besides a beautiful sight and an insight into the resilience of nature, the wild flower sea provides the managers something else: confirmation that the choice for a forest area is historically the right one. The presence of the seed bulbs means that the hilltop was always forested in ancient times. Wild hyacinths are only found in old forests.
