As empty as the game felt at release, it is so incredibly full of content now!
Nowadays we can entertain ourselves for hours with all kinds of quests, world events and the latest addition, Pirates of the Caribbean is really cool!
We still play regularly and you can make it almost as exciting as you want.
Of course you always play with other people on the map, chances are you will meet people who just want to fight, that is sometimes annoying, especially if you are trying to achieve something or just want to sail nice and quiet.
On the other hand, we have encountered plenty of very nice crews with whom we have formed alliances to do all kinds of things.
Lately, however, something has been terribly broken with the game’s back-end and the developers seem unable to fix it. In our Discord channel, dev news passes by automatically and the “Oops something went wrong with the player data between day x and day y and everything is lost” has become a big meme and completely predictable. At the very least, this comes across as terribly incompetent, especially after 6 months of regularly seeing the same errors with the back-end and the accompanying excuses, without any form of solution.
This does not affect the game itself, only challenges, commendations and rewards.
