Sea of Thieves will receive an update for season three on June 22, which will also include Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life. That’s the name for a Pirates of the Caribbean themed expansion.
Rare and Microsoft are collaborating with Disney to release this expansion. Microsoft writes that these crossover means that Jack Sparrow and his infamous crew will have adventures on the Sea of Thieves. It revolves around a story campaign with five stories, including secrets and side-quests, which players can play solo or with others. Famous locations from the movies will pass by.

The story is about freeing Jack Sparrow. The pirate played by Johnny Depp in the movies will get into a fight with Davy Jones just like in the movies. These two well-known opponents from the first Pirates of the Caribbean films will not only be present as cameos, according to Microsoft. They will therefore not only come by in the form of short guest appearances. Microsoft says it has teamed up with Walt Disney Games to create an original story that explores both worlds.
The update for the third season will be released on June 22 and is free for all owners of Sea of Thieves. This game is available on the Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, Windows 10 PCs, Steam or through the Xbox Game Pass subscription. Sea of Thieves was released in March 2018.
