Contingent Indonesia stick tightly to Cambodia which is ranked third in the standings SEA Games 2023 by just one gold.

Until Sunday (14/5) early morning, it was recorded that Indonesia had collected 58 gold, 51 silver and 72 bronze with a total of 180 medals.

Indonesia’s gold is only one away from host Cambodia, which has now collected 59 gold, 53 silver and 80 bronze.

With a series of potential gold medal-winning athletes appearing today, it is not impossible for Indonesia to overtake Cambodia and break into the top three.

While Vietnam is entrenched in first place in the standings with 87 gold, 79 silver and 87 bronze. Thailand trails in second place with 77 gold, 52 silver and 76 bronze.

Indonesia’s last gold last night was recorded to have come at 23.06 from tennis, through mixed doubles Christopher Ruangkat/Aldila Sutjiadi.

Apart from Christo and Dila, another tennis athlete who contributed gold on Saturday (13/5) was Priska Madelyn Nugroho from the women’s singles sector.

Senior lifter Eko Yuli Irawan donated gold in the men’s 61 kilogram weightlifting event.

Meanwhile, fin swimming has consistently contributed gold medals, continuing its contribution since Friday (12/5). Wahyu Anggoro Tamtomo and Janis Rosalita Suprianto became the fastest in the men’s and women’s 50 meter surface respectively.

Abdul Muin and friends who appeared in the takraw sport also won gold in the double team number, similar to the traditional boat race team on behalf of Abdul Hamid who won the number 12 crews (U24) 250 meters.

Indonesian silver collectors on Saturday (13/5) were: Oza Peby Mulyani (fin swimming women’s 400m surface), Andhini Muthia Maulida/Katherina Eda Rahayu/Oza Peby Mulyani/Vania Elvira Elent Rahmadani (fin swimming women’s relay 4×100 m surface), Bima Dea Sakti Antono/Dio Novandra Wibawa/Muhammad Amirullah Al Farizi/Petrol Apostle Gasoline Kambey (fin swimming men’s relay 4x100m surface), Asri Udin (men’s 57 kilogram boxing), Maikhel Roberrd Muskita (men’s 86 kilogram boxing), and Elaine Widjaja/Holly Victoria Halim/Kristina Natalia Yoko (women’s golf team).

Apart from that, there is also Nicholas Armanto (male takewondo 87 kilograms), Ni Kadek Heni Prikasih (women’s 46 kilogram taekwondo), and Christopher Runkat/Anthony Barki (men’s doubles tennis).

There were also 11 bronze winners for Indonesia, namely Farrand Papendang (men’s 63 kg boxing), Sarohatua Lumbantobing (men’s 71 kg boxing), Novita Sinadia (women’s 54 kg boxing), Muhammad Amirullah Al Farizi (men’s 400 m surface swimming fin), Amadeus Christian Susanto/Randy Arbenata Mohamad Bintang/Rayhan Abdul Latief (men’s golf team), Adam Yazid Ferdyansyah (male 68 kg taekwondo), and Dinda Putri lestari (women’s 73 kg taekwondo).

Beatrice Gumulya/David Agung Susanto (mixed doubles tennis), Ana Rahayu et al (traditional boat race team 12 crews (U24) 250m), Luluk Diana Tri Wijayana (women’s 49kg weightlifter), and Muhammad Husni (men’s 55kg weightlifter) also donate bronze.
