SDK board member Sautter leaves
The news came very shortly before the announcement of the planned merger of Stuttgarter Versicherung and Süddeutsche Krankenversicherung (SDK): Gerd Sautter and the companies of the SDK Group have agreed to terminate Sautter’s board activities on December 31, 2024. According to the insurer, the step is being taken by mutual agreement. The reason for Sautter’s departure was different ideas about the future direction of health insurance. At the press conference on the occasion of the planned merger, CEO Ulrich Mitzlaff of the SDK emphasized that Sautter’s departure had nothing to do with the merger, despite the temporal connection, but that Sautter had supported it.
Sautter came to Süddeutsche Krankenversicherung from Württembergische Krankenversicherung AG and replaced Benno Schmeing there on October 1, 2023.
R+V launches vehicle insurance calculator
Do I need comprehensive insurance for my vehicle? If yes, partial or fully comprehensive? When choosing the right car insurance, a lot depends on the condition and value of the car. Owners can now query this on the R+V Versicherung website.
Under www.ruv.de/kfz-versicherung/fahrzeugbewertung Car owners can either manually enter information about the model, year of manufacture, mileage and condition of the car or upload a photo of the registration certificate from which the system reads the required data independently. On this basis, the system determines a price range for the vehicle. R+V offers the evaluation free of charge and is carried out in collaboration with the partner Carsale24 and the platform operator Onpier.

Blau Directly integrates vehicle comparison into Comparit
In the future, Blau Direkt brokers will have access to a new vehicle calculator within the Comparit comparison platform. Comparit is fully integrated into the broker management program AMEISE. The connection to the vehicle contract system within AMEISE allows the transfer of customer and vehicle data. With one click from the new integration menu of the broker management program, all relevant information from the existing contract is adopted for the calculation. After the contract is concluded, all relevant application documents are automatically stored in the broker management program.
According to Blau Direkt, Comparit’s new vehicle calculator brings functions for the independent broker market that have long been desired in the industry. It is now possible to independently determine second car classifications. Furthermore, the majority desire for optimal consultation documentation has now been implemented in the new computer. The consulting documentation is filled with customer data and made available for every transaction. The comparison of vehicle tariffs is also dynamically adjusted based on the broker’s information, which leads to more individual and precise results.
Epension and Smart Insurtech merge data
“For users of our broker management program Smart Admin (FinanzOffice) who use the specialized MVP of our sister company Epension in the area of company pension provision, we are creating a solution that eliminates the problem of isolated data transfers in different systems,” explains Sebastian Langrehr, Chief Sales Officer (CSO) of Smart Insurtech AG. “To do this, our document service Smart Gevo, which Epension also uses, duplicates the respective BiPRO delivery from the insurance company and makes it available for both systems.” In this way, the BiPRO delivery, which is only issued once by the insurer, can be delivered by both MVPs at the same time and in the same quality be processed.
To date, the BiPRO delivery has only been delivered to one system. In the other system – for example the company pension management – the data had to be entered manually, which was laborious. This affects both the adaptation of data as well as the assignment of documents and the triggering of follow-up processes. The Hypoport subsidiaries Epension and Smart Insurtech say they are now implementing an integrated solution. It eliminates the need for double data entry. In this way, intermediaries save time and, in addition to a more efficient process, also gain higher data quality.
