Ayodhya: Arun Yogiraj, the sculptor of the Ram Temple idol, says he is the luckiest man in the world. “I consider myself the luckiest man in the world. I had the blessings of my ancestors and family members. Sri Rama was always with me. Sometimes I feel like I am in a dream world” – Arun Yogiraj told news agency ANI.
A 51-inch-high Krishna stone-carved three-foot-wide idol was installed in Ayodhya. Sri Rama is conceived in the form of a 5-year-old boy. Sculptor Arun Yogi Raj, a native of Mysore, had earlier said that the idol is carved from 300 million-year-old stone. It weighs about 200 kg. A bow and arrow is held in the left hand of the bejeweled idol. Lord Shiva above the crown on the top of the idol. The temple is built in such a way that the sun shines on it on Ram Navami day.
In the prabhamandala (arch-like part around the idol) on both sides are the Dashavatars of Lord Vishnu. Bhaktahanuman below on one side and Garuda below on the other side. Ashwini Devas, Omkara, Shankh, Chakra, Gada and Swastika on both sides above Dashavatars. Below the lotus on which the idol stands, various deities are arranged as gatekeepers, etc.
