Obersdorf legionnaire Ondrej Badura turned his back on the club after the end of the transfer period. Accordingly, no one could get a replacement.
The 4-2 win against Kreuzstetten on July 14th was supposed to be Ondrej Badura’s last appearance in the SCU Obersdorf/Pillichsdorf jersey. A little later there was a change of heart for the Czech, who was only brought in in the winter and who scored five times in eleven spring games. “I found out about it from the players’ agent, who wrote to me on Wednesday ‘Badura away’,” said section head Helmut Diwald.
He then telephoned the intermediary and the second legionnaire, Michal Zimcik, who confirmed Badura’s decision to the official. “Supposedly he had an offer from the Czech Republic, where he earns more than we do. But I don’t shed any tears for him,” said Diwald, who wants to fill the Czech’s gap internally – since the transfer window in Lower Austria is already closed, the SCU doesn’t have much else left. In terms of sport, things have been going well so far without Badura. After beating Kreuzstetten, they drew 1-1 against Wetzelsdorf in a relatively good test.
