However, we must remain vigilant and work together to avoid its return”. The ARS, the Regional Health Agency wants to raise public awareness through a prevention campaign during the summer, a very risky period marked by new positive cases of Covid-19 in the region and in France. 320 screening centers are operational in New Aquitaine.
Free screening at holiday locations
The dates and locations of these operations are regularly informed and available on this page. ARS Nouvelle-Aquitaine organizes free screening operations (100% covered by Health Insurance) to facilitate access to tests, in particular for people far from the health system or in areas affected by health problems. access to healthcare and break the chains of transmission of the virus in the region. In July, faced with the increase in the circulation of the virus, screenings go as close as possible to inhabitants and holidaymakers in places of tourist arrivals and stays, especially on the coast. - In Gironde, in Arcachon, screening takes place every day from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on the forecourt of the station. Screenings also in La Teste-de-Buch until August 31, in Lacanau, Soulac sur mer, Vendays-Montalivet, Mérignac and Bordeaux.
- In the Country, screenings are taking place in the coming days in Vieux-Boucau and Labenne.
- In Dordogne, screenings in Périgueux Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Odyssée theater Hall – Esplanade Badinter.

Screenings close to the clusters
Two free screening centers are open in Bordeaux in the districts most affected by the epidemic until August 9. These are the first centers open in the heart of the city of Bordeaux, closer to the inhabitants, in Chartrons and in the Grand-Parc. Two neighborhoods where more than half of the cases of covid-19 are concentrated.
