An AP-HNN flight en route to Honolulu was involved in a rare crash above clouds, injuring 36 people, including 11 in critical condition.
A video clip documented passengers with minor to moderate injuries, as well as minor losses in the aircraft galley, as a result of the severe turbulence to which the aircraft was exposed.
It is worth noting that turbulence occurs frequently in flights and causes dizziness or discomfort to most passengers, but it is actually a normal occurrence in flights.
The Honolulu Star Advertiser reported that 36 people were treated by emergency crews and 11 were taken to area hospitals due to the severity of their conditions.
The newspaper added that 9 others are in stable condition and their injuries range from serious head wounds, lacerations, contusions and loss of consciousness.
