SCP: proportion of elderly people living at home receive too little appropriate care

What are the laws about this?

Municipalities must ensure that people can continue to live at home for as long as possible. Under the Social Support Act (Wmo 2015) elderly people who live independently at home receive care and support from the municipality.

Elderly people who live in a care institution, such as a nursing home, receive care under the Long-term Care Act (Wlz). This is financed by the national government and carried out by care offices.

To be eligible for Wlz care, an elderly person needs an indication from the Care Assessment Center (CIZ).
