Worth it. Mayor Dr. Tenostendarp is happy about the commitment of the Georgian scouts from Vreden.

Scouts around the world traditionally sell biscuits in the run-up to Christmas in order to use the proceeds to support charitable causes and their own youth work.

This year, the Vredener George Scouts take part in the campaign for the first time.

Mayor Dr. Tom Tenostendarp took several cookie bags for a donation. Paulina Pennekamp, Lena Bennink, Maik Olbring and Benjamin Huning brought the cookies to the town hall and reported on the successful start of the campaign. Half of the income from the cookie sale should go to the DJK Stadtlohn for the inclusive holiday leisure time in the Ahr valley, because a large part of the storage equipment was destroyed by the flood. The other half of the proceeds will support your own youth work. “I was very happy about the visit to the town hall and I am happy to support this campaign, like the many voluntary campaigns in Vreden. As a long-standing member of the Vredener Georgspfadfinder I know what is managed in the many youth work associations ”, said Mayor Tenostendarp.

Finally, the scouts pointed out the “Peace Light Café” on Christmas Eve. The Friedenslicht can be picked up from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the new hall in the sports center on Ottensteiner Straße. You should bring your own candle, the 2G rules apply.
