Wilders himself will be the first to join us tomorrow at 11 a.m. Pieter Omtzigt from NSC will be Plasterk’s last discussion partner at 3 p.m.
Last week the scout received almost all the intended faction leaders and it turned out that their wishes were difficult to reconcile.
On Friday, Plasterk announced that he needs more time for the exploratory phase and will therefore not be able to report on Tuesday, December 5, as previously hoped. His intention is to do that next week.
In the coming days, the scout will talk to some of the intended party leaders. They will then have the opportunity to respond to each other’s input. It is not known whether Plasterk still wants to discuss with parties other than those mentioned.
It still seems to be a difficult puzzle for Plasterk. The VVD does not want to be in a cabinet, and Pieter Omtzigt of NSC made it clear that he had difficulty with positions in the PVV election manifesto. According to him, these cannot be reconciled with the Constitution, and he first wants clarity about this:
The VVD is only prepared to support the coalition desired by Wilders as a tolerating partner. Combinations with GroenLinks-PvdA – the second party in the elections – are not obvious.
