Fans of horror games have another title to enjoy: Contempt, produced by Ebb Software and distributed by Kleper Interactive. The game was released this Friday (14) for Xbox X series, Xbox S series and PC, and is also available on Game Pass.
It’s a first-person game, set in an à la world Alien. You wake up in a strange place and have to explore various interconnected regions, solve puzzles and fight disgusting enemies. Watch the trailer below:
The story of the game is quite complex: there are no texts, information on the screen, directions to follow, tutorials. The goal of the developers is for the player to feel “dropped” aimlessly in this world and find out for himself how to progress.
The graphics are inspired by the art of HR Giger, creator of the xenomorphic Alien design. The universe of the game seems to be decaying, abandoned and even dead; but still organic and functional. The developers didn’t even skimp on the blood and bowels on the loose. So it’s good to have a strong stomach to play Contempt.
The title has been in development since 2016. It should have been released in 2018, it has been postponed to 2021, later this year and now, finally, he has seen the light of day.
