Ramiz Zerrouki took revenge after winning the match 1-4 against Almere City. The Feyenoord midfielder has recently received a lot of criticism for his performance, but he was right again for the Rotterdam side on Sunday.
Zerrouki scored Feyenoord 1-2 in the tenth minute. The 26-year-old Algerian sent the ball into the far post, and afterwards held a finger to his mouth as he celebrated in response to the criticism leveled at him in recent weeks.
“In the Netherlands we are very good at just spreading negativity and putting everyone down,” Zerrouki later says on camera. NOS. “Some people need to keep their mouths shut more often, I think. ”

“In the end, that’s what they always try to do,” continued a humble Zerrouki. “They’d rather see things bad than good. That’s a very bad thing, I think.” Zerrouki was satisfied with his performance against Almere City.
Coach Brian Priske was also pleased with the midfielder’s play, after criticizing Zerrouki recently. “He did well today,” the Dane said at the press conference. “He did exactly what we asked of him, by always being available.”
“He won a lot of duels and was always in a good position to defend. I’m happy for him that he got the chance to visit.” Priske doesn’t care about Zerrouki’s way of cheering. “I’m just happy he scored, that’s important for us.”
Thanks to the victory over Almere, Feyenoord enters the international break as number 4 in the rankings. The competition continues on November 23 with an away game at Robin van Persie’s SC Heerenveen.
