Recently, the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City has sent a document to the City Police and the People’s Committees of the districts about the list of locations with the status of stopping, parking, picking up and dropping off passengers at the wrong place.

According to the City Department of Transport, through the review, the city currently has 60 locations to pick up and drop off passengers at the wrong places. Compared to the previous review, the number of above positions decreased by 16 positions.

In which, District 5 (20 points), Binh Thanh District (2 points), Binh Tan District (2 points), Binh Chanh (1 point), Thu Duc City (14 points), District 12 (3 points), District 12 Tan Binh (7 points), District 10 (8 points), Tan Phu district (3 points).

From the above situation, the City Department of Transport informed the City Police, People’s Committees of districts to monitor and check activities at locations where there is a situation of stopping, picking up and dropping off passengers in violation of regulations according to their authority. From there, promptly correct and handle violations, creating conditions for transport business activities in the management area to be stable, ensuring security and order.

At the same time, the City Department of Transport also suggested that the City Police and the local People’s Committees continue to maintain inspection and supervision of the locations where there is a situation of stopping, picking up and dropping off new guests, if any; or operate for the old positions in the management area mentioned by the City Department of Transport.

Notably, the City Department of Transport has reviewed and listed the operating units and operating time.

For example: Car park of Thanh Cong Transport Co., Ltd., Highway 13, pick up customers 24/24. Passenger cars pick up passengers at Gas Station 47, No. 39C, National Highway 13; Passenger cars are picked up at Tam Binh gas station, National Highway 1, Hung Nghia gas station, National highway 1 (operating time 24/24).

Some units organize to welcome guests after 10pm such as: Nam Thuy business household, 173 Ly Thuong Kiet, Tan Binh district; Branch of Van Thuan Joint Stock Company, No. 111 Bau Cat Street, Tan Binh; Ha Anh Tuyen Co., Ltd., No. 41 Tran Trieu Luat, Tan Binh District; Tien Oanh Service Company Limited, No. 266 Dong Den, Tan Binh District.

In district 10 also open after 10 pm: Branch of Phu Vinh Long Company; Office of Hoang Anh Service and Sales Company Limited, Phuong Lam Transport Service Cooperative (497 Le Hong Phong)…

In November, 2022, the Inspector of the Department of Transport recorded that in the city, there were 76 locations where the pick-up and drop-off activities were not at the prescribed places.

Specifically: District 5 has 25 points; District 1 has 5 points; Binh Thanh District has 2 points; Binh Tan district has 4 points; Binh Chanh district has 2 points.

Thu Duc city: has 22 points, of which, the old district 2 area has 1 point; the old district 9 area has 4 points; old Thu Duc district 17 points.

In District 12 there are 6 points; Hoc Mon district has 1 point; District 10 has 4 points; Tan Binh district has 1 point; Tan Phu district has 4 points.
