The scooter rider who was involved in an accident in Dronrijp on Saturday evening has died. This is confirmed by the police. It concerns a 36-year-old man from Leeuwarden.
The accident happened just after 8:30 am. At the street de Marcol, the scooter went off the road for unknown reasons. The scooter ended up in the water and the victim on the other side of the water in a meadow. Several emergency services came to the accident, but the help came too late for the victim.
