SCJN Affirms that Javier Laynez is not Present on Twitter

The Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) reported that Minister Javier Laynez Potisek does not have an account on social networks.

In its official profile and on networks, the highest court pointed directly to the @JavierPotisek account, although on Twitter it says that “this account does not exist.”

However, on Elon Musk’s social network there is another profile that usurps Laynez’s identity: @JavierLaynezP.

That profile has been dedicated to offering (false) explanations for the decision he made by suspending part of the electoral Plan B.

The same false account responded to people who made believe that the court minister took a picture of himself in his underwear, taking advantage of a photo of Silverio, the musician from Guerrero who has become famous for his extrovert shows.

Last Friday, Minister Javier Laynez Potisek granted a suspension against the ‘Plan B‘ of the electoral reform promoted by the president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.

The same weekend, the Legal Department of the Presidency announced that it will file a challenge.

“To grant suspension, Minister Laynez tore leaves from the Constitution,” said the federal agency through an official statement released this Sunday.

The CJEF considered that the suspension of the application of the Decree that amends, adds, and repeals various provisions of the General Law of Institutions and Electoral Proceduresof the General Law of Political Parties, of the Organic Law of the Judiciary of the Federation, and the General Law of the Means of Challenge in Electoral Matters is issued, was granted by Minister Laynez through a “series of arbitrariness” .

“It is essential that the ministers that make up the SCJN act within the powers that correspond to them, without trespassing the limits imposed by the Constitution and the laws. In this way, the constitutional and democratic order is guaranteed, in addition to protecting the rights and freedoms of all people against the arbitrariness of a judicial authority that acts against the laws that govern its action, ”said the Ministry.
