Scientists take sharpest picture of the sun ever NOW

Space agency NASA and British researchers at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) have taken the sharpest picture of the sun ever, reports Astrophysical Journal Wednesday.

According to the scientists, the photo tells a lot about the existence of the magnetic atmosphere of the sun. For example, the image shows that the large dark spots that can be seen on the atmosphere are filled with magnetic wires up to 500 kilometers wide.

Gases form in these wires. How the wires are formed is not clear. The researchers will temporarily focus on why they form.

The dark spots are also filled with plasma with an extremely high temperature of about 1 million degrees.

The images of the sun were taken during a special missile mission. For this mission, a missile from NASA was sent to a remote corner of space. From there, a telescope was able to capture the structures in the atmosphere. A telescope was used to capture structures ‘only’ 70 kilometers (about 0.01 percent of the size of the sun).

At the end of January, scientists from the National Science Foundation (NSF) already taking the most detailed photos of the sun to date with a new powerful telescope located on the Haleakala Volcano in Hawaii.
