Scientists release animation of changes in Earth’s magnetic field 41 thousand years ago

In a new report, the Director of the Laboratory for Atmospheric Physics and Space at the University of Colorado, Daniel Baker, claims that there are signs that the Earth’s poles are turning. Baker said the pole shift could destabilize several areas of Earth and also bring down the power grid.

The Swarm satellite belonging to the European Space Agency (ESA), which monitors the Earth’s magnetic field, shows the possibility of reversing the magnetic field. The satellite allows researchers to study structural changes in the Earth’s core, where magnetic fields are created.

Their observations show that molten iron and nickel emit energy from the Earth’s core near where the magnetic field is created. Although scientists are not sure why this is happening, they describe it as “restless activity” indicating that the magnetic field is preparing to reverse.

If that happens, we will be exposed to solar winds that can blow holes in the ozone layer. As a result, the power grid could be destroyed, the Earth’s climate will change significantly, and the number of people suffering from cancer due to radiation will increase.

In fact, a study in Denmark believes that global warming is directly linked to magnetic fields, rather than carbon dioxide emissions. Researchers estimate that, after the Earth’s poles shift, one hundred thousand people will die each year due to increased levels of outer space radiation.

Although the Earth’s poles are reversible, the strength of the weakening of the Earth’s magnetic field varies greatly. According to NASA, there is no indication that the magnetic field will disappear completely.

NASA emphasized that it is important to remember that a complete reversal of the Earth’s magnetic poles takes thousands of years, so this process is dependent on major weather changes and seismic activity. According to NASA, the only result of a polar shift is a change in the orientation of the poles, so the direction device or compass needs to be fixed.
