Scientists link hair loss to genital infection

Hair loss can be caused by a genital infection. This is reported by experts from American Academy of dermatology.

Physicians note that syphilis can lead to hair loss throughout the body if left untreated. It has three stages of development, and each one shows different symptoms – hair loss occurs in the second.

If ignored, it can harm the heart, brain, bones and nervous system and increase the risk of stroke. In some cases, syphilis leads to blindness, dementia, and poor coordination.
