Scientists have discovered 24 “superinhabited” planets

There are planets in space that are better suited for life than Earth, according to the journal Astrobiology. American and German astronomers came to this input. They investigated over 4.5 thousand exoplanets, and identified 24 among them, which, according to their conditions, may turn out to be more favorable for life than our planet.

It is noted that these planets are larger, more humid and warmer than the Earth. Scientists noted that these planets should be considered “superinhabited”, and life on them can develop to higher forms than on Earth.

These planets are located more than a hundred light years from Earth. In the near future, the planet’s data can be studied using NASA telescopes. Scientists believe that it is necessary to continue the search for planets that could provide people with conditions milder than on Earth. “It is important not to be limited only to the search for a second Earth, because there may be planets that are even more suitable for life than ours,” said German astronomer Dirk Schulz-Makuch.

Scientists believe that those planets that are 10-50% larger than Earth are optimal for life. Also, life can develop in conditions of higher humidity, and the temperature can be 5 degrees higher than on Earth. Such conditions are ideal for the emergence of life.
