Scientist’s Explanation About 3 Kinds of Wind, Turns Out to Be in Accordance with the Qur’an : Okezone techno

JAKARTAMan can classify the types of wind when viewed from the strength and speed. In the Qur’an, it is explained that there is a wind that can uproot trees and cause big waves.

Summarized from the book Tafsir Al-Qur’an Thematic ‘Environmental Conservation’, it reveals different kinds of winds, such as calm and dangerous.

Ar-riyah as-sakinah (Quiet wind) is a very calm wind, so the smoke coming out of the factory chimney remains upright when it encounters this type of wind. The strength of this wind is only 0-1 kilometers per hour.

Therefore, this type of wind does not create ripples on the surface of the water and cannot move the sailboat, the sea remains calm and the ships remain motionless. Allah says in one of the verses of the Qur’an.

If he wills to slumber in the wind, he will remain sluggish on his back;

“If He wills, He will calm the winds, then let the ships stand on the surface of the sea. Indeed in that are signs (of power) for every person who is much patient and much grateful,” Surah As-Syura Verse 33 .

In addition to the calm wind, there is also Ar-riyah at-tayyibah (good wind), which is the speed and strength of this wind ranges from 1.6 to 40 kilometers per hour. This type of wind can make the leaves, twigs and branches move.

At the maximum speed limit (40 kilometers per hour), this type of wind can move the trees, so that the sailing ship can move which creates a sense of pleasure and joy for humans.

“He it is Who made you walk on land, (sail) on the sea. Until when you are in the ark, and the ark sails carrying those who are in it with a good wind, and they rejoice in it, the wind comes storms, and (when) waves from all directions overtake them, and they are sure that they have been besieged (danger), then they pray to Allah with sincere obedience to Him alone. (They say): “Surely if You save us from this danger, surely we will be among the grateful “,” Surah Yunus Ayat 22.

In addition to good wind, still in the verse is mentioned about Ar-riyah asy-syadidah (Strong wind), the speed and strength of this wind ranges between 40-50 kilometers per hour that can break the branches of trees and emit a wind sound like a whistle.

This type of wind causes big waves in the ocean that make those who are in the ark anxious.

Then, there is the type of Ar-riyah al-hasiba (storm wind), which is a wind that moves at speeds that reach 80 kilometers per hour, so that it makes trees fall, pebbles fly and it is difficult to go against the direction when humans walk.

So did you believe that the side of the land should be swallowed up by you, or that He would send a return upon you, and then you would not find it for you?

“So do you feel safe (from God’s punishment) that overturns some of the land with you or He blows (a violent wind that carries) small stones? And you will not find a protector for you,” Surah Al-Isra ‘verse 68 .
