JAKARTA – fingerprint Humans have a number of unique things, this is written in the Koran and has been scientifically proven. The existence of fingerprints is very useful for identity.
Quoted from the book Tafsir Ilmi: Human Creation in the Perspective of the Qur’an and Science, compiled by Lajnah Pentashihab Mushaf Qur’an, Research and Development and Training of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, human fingerprints are definitely different even though they are born from identical twins.
Therefore, fingerprints are an identity in distinguishing a person. But, did you know there are amazing facts behind fingerprints. This has been much discussed in the holy book of the Koran.
Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala says:
Does man think that we will not reassemble his bones (3) Indeed, we are able to equal his bones (4)
Meaning: “Does people think that We will not collect (return) their bones? (In fact) We are able to reassemble their (re) fingers perfectly.” (Surat al-Qiyamah: 3–4)
The mention of “fingers” in the verse is related to human fingerprints. Because in this verse and several other verses before and after that discuss the way Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala recognizes individuals on the Day of Judgment.
How Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala in His word shows a science, namely with fingerprints that along with the progress of science becomes a reality and useful for human life on Earth.
The fact that fingerprints do not change and can be used as a person’s identity was only known at the end of the 19th century. Previously, fingerprints were only seen as strokes without having any meaning.
It was only then that a researcher named Sir Francis Goly in the 1800s revealed that the circular pattern on the tip of a person’s finger which became known as a fingerprint is unique for each individual.
Continuing in the modern era, the facts about the uniqueness of fingerprints are further revealed. A person’s fingerprint pattern is formed just moments before the baby is born. The pattern will remain the same for life, unchanged, unless there is a scar there.
Not only that, the fingerprint pattern is so unique that even identical twins, with very similar DNA sequence patterns, have different fingerprint patterns.
Regarding making fingerprints as identity, it can be proven by using fingerprint identification techniques that have been legally recognized by many police organizations in the world.
This international legalization has also been running for more than 25 years. Even in many countries identification with fingerprints has been done for more than 100 years.
Until now, there is no other identification verification technique that can exceed the effectiveness of fingerprint recognition. Fingerprint codes and patterns may be identified with barcodes used in today’s trading world.
