Bloomberg Technoz, Jakarta – Scientists discovered strange waves in the human brain. They say this could be an early sign of the death process. This discovery was conveyed by scientists from Paris in a publication in the journal Neurobiology of Disease.
Reporting from Newsweek, Thursday (28/12/2023), it is believed that these findings can provide new enlightenment regarding the process of a person’s death and the changes that occur in the brain.
Death is generally considered clinically and legally as a condition characterized by the total and irreversible cessation of brain activity and function.
According to this view the moment of death represents an isolated event, in which all brain processes suddenly stop. However, from a neurological point of view, the death process takes place in a matter of minutes and is accompanied by complex changes in brain activity. In fact, according to scientists, this process can be reversed.
This finding is the result of research by Paris Brain Institute scientists on laboratory mice. The research found that the process of human death occurs after a lack of oxygen for a long time, or what can be called anoxia.
