Scientists correct story of first covid-19 outbreak in Portugal | Covid-19

We’ve been through many things and several vacancies since what was the first outbreak of covid-19 detected in Portugal, in a shoe factory in Lousada, in the Porto district. A team of researchers from the Institute for Research and Innovation in Health (I3S) of the University of Porto and the Hospital de S. João managed to reconstruct the case that began at the end of February 2020. The scientific article published this month presents a new version of the story, underlining the importance of following the virus’s trail to stop a chain of transmission . It was an opportune excess of zeal, more or less blindly, that prevented a worse outcome.
