The first group of 12 people received a booster dose of the coronavirus simultaneously with the seasonal influenza shot, while the second, consisting of 30 health care workers, received the two vaccines on different days during the same month.

Antibodies were measured for both groups, and the study concluded that the first group that received the two vaccines together had higher levels of immunoglobulin, which are the antibodies that resist “Corona” and seasonal influenza.

The study team indicated that this may be due to the enhanced stimulation of the immune system through the presence of both vaccines in the body at the same time.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends “getting both the influenza and coronavirus vaccines.”

The control centers did not provide an explanation for this recommendation, but they confirmed that receiving the two vaccinations together is “safe.”

This new study comes a month after the publication of another, which was conducted by researchers at the US Food and Drug Administration, and confirmed that receiving the “Pfizer” and “Moderna” anti-Corona vaccines, in conjunction with influenza vaccination, may increase the risk of stroke. .

The study analyzed the risk of stroke among approximately 5.4 million people aged 65 years or older who received Corona vaccinations. Either alone, or in conjunction with the influenza vaccine, between August 31 and November 6, 2022.

The researchers found an increased risk of stroke among those aged 85 or older who received the Pfizer vaccine, and among those aged 65 to 74 who received the Moderna vaccine.

The association was more consistent when these two vaccines were given in conjunction with high-dose influenza vaccinations, or a vaccine containing an adjuvant; It is a chemical that is added to trigger a stronger immune response.

The researchers said that those who received the Pfizer and influenza vaccines together experienced a 20 percent increase in the risk of stroke.

As for people who received the Moderna vaccine at the time of receiving the influenza vaccination, their risk of developing this health problem increased by 35 percent.
