Scientific conference “People and destinies of Piemare”

The conference “Piemare people and destinies” organized by the Kurzeme Humanitarian Institute of the University of Liepāja is being held for the sixth time with a cycle of once every two years. The conference continues the tradition of gathering researchers and those interested in regional studies. The scope of research includes Kurzeme’s personalities, places, events, traditions, texts, materials, which are discovered, researched and described so that the widest possible public can learn about them. After the papers read at the conference, a collection of articles is being created (the responsible editor is Ieva Ozola), this time we will open the fifth edition. Researchers, students, pupils, teachers, librarians, museum workers, local history enthusiasts are welcome.
