The Seniorenwerk Academy in Ellrich is taking part in the “Long Night of Science” this Friday, May 20th. At 6 p.m. Christian Döring, lawyer and managing director of the Seniorenwerk, will give a lecture on the question “Does my own death really belong to me?”. It is about the desire, which is increasingly being discussed loudly in public, to control and determine one’s own dying process.
“I’m just forgetful – or am I already demented?”: This is the title of Hannelore Pientka’s lecture, in which she will work out a clearly identifiable difference between forgetfulness and clinical dementia from 6.45 p.m. With the questioning title “My mental disorder and I”, Dirk Scholz will conclude this evening from 7.30 p.m. with his remarks.

Although the lectures deal with topics such as illness or death in the broadest sense, the speakers do not present them in a dry scientific manner, but in a generally understandable way, often with a wink and a dash of humour. The opportunity to discuss with the speakers should not be missing either.
When: May 20, 6 p.m. to around 8 p.m. Where: Seniorenwerk Academy, Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Straße 1, Ellrich
