A real sci-fi tidbit seems to be coming our way. In the first trailer for the Amazon anthology series “Solos”, the Oscar-winning Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman as well as the Marvel stars Anthony Mackie and Dan Stevens are among the honors.

Eight characters, seven stories, one topic: This is how the concept of “solos” can be broken down. The seven episodes of the upcoming Amazon series each present us with completed stories that are intended to make it clear that we are all connected to one another through being human, even in the most lonely moments.
This message is of course also relevant for the here and now, but the events are embedded in “Solos” in various futuristic elements – from time travel and artificial intelligence to smart homes and solo trips into the depths of space to advanced fertility treatments and illegal ones Memory transplants.
Hollywood stars shows
The episodes are brought to life by an absolutely impressive cast. Helen Mirren (“The Queen”), Morgan Freeman (“Million Dollar Baby”), Uzo Aduba (“Orange Is The New Black”), Anne Hathaway (“Les Misérables”), Anthony Mackie (” The Falcon And The Winter Soldier “), Dan Stevens (” Legion “), Constance Wu (” Crazy Rich “) and Nicole Beharie (” Sleepy Hollow “).
“Solos” was developed by David Weil, who was already responsible for the Nazi hunter series “Hunters” for Amazon. The directing team includes “Fifty Shades Of Gray” maker Sam Taylor-Johnson and “Scrubs” star Zach Braff.
While “Solos” will be released in the USA on May 21, 2021, we have to wait a little longer in this country: In Germany, “Solos” will be available on Amazon Prime Video from June 25th.
