Around fifteen activities around science are presented today at the IUT of Chartres. Its students and representatives of the various partners run different stands which welcome young and old.
Olivier Morand, director of the science center, which coordinates the various Science Festivals across the Center region, explained yesterday: “The goal is to make science accessible to everyone to make it accessible, and that starts with the younger. On Friday, we received 120 schoolchildren. This proves that science attracts when it is explained. »
For Edgard Sekko, director of the IUT of Chartres, “it is also an opportunity for us to present our snowmaking sectors, our laboratories and training centers. Science and industry are closely linked. Our students also present their research in many fields. »
Thus, on the different stands you can meet students who explain to you how to save energy at home, exchange with students from PolyTech in Orléans or with Marco Ivan Diaz, a Mexican student in Chartres who is working on a project called “Borénos ” in connection with the Orléans University Hospital, discover the Solar Cup project and its solar-powered cars, or even discuss the climate with Ismail Dargahi, teacher at the IUT. “It is the largest scientific center in the Central region,” underlines its director.
