The Internet Usera post-apocalyptic series with an alien invasion backdrop coming soon to Netflix
According to the Netflix synopsis, the sci-fi series will follow Juan Salvo and other survivors after a deadly snowfall that killed millions. They will have to fight against an alien threat controlled by an invisible force. The cult comic tells us more about the plot. “In The Eternaut 1969, the world’s great powers have abandoned South America to alien invaders, and the main character Juan Salvo, along with his friend Professor Favalli, the metallurgist Franco and his neighbor Susanna, join the resistance in Buenos Aires knowing that the outside world will not come to their rescue.” specifies the pitch.
The Internet User marked the childhood of Bruno Stagnaro, the director
If Bruno Stagnaro decided to adapt the comic strip into a series, it is because it marked his childhood. He remembers with nostalgia his father who brought him new issues every week. “I think it was one of the first things I read in its entirety in my life, at the age of 10, and it had a profound impact on the way I understood fiction made in my country.” he had declared in 2023. And for good reason, the story of The Internet User has become a symbol of resistance against oppression in Argentina. Discover a first glimpse of the series, scheduled for 2025, in video:
