To be a prince or princess one day – this wish becomes reality at the children’s carnival in Halver. Whether young or old, everyone has fun. The enthusiasm is contagious.

Halver – TuS Ennepe showed that not only the adults can celebrate the fifth season at Halveraner Friedrichshöhe, but also the young ones on Sunday afternoon. Like every year, the traditional Schwenker children’s carnival took place in the clubhouse on Friedrichshöhe just hours after the end of the adults’ long party night.

And this year, for the numerous girls and boys who found their way into the fully occupied clubhouse, it wasn’t just about following the program. On several occasions, visitors young and old were literally allowed to have a hand in the program that presenter Fabienne Kriegskorte and the other organizers had prepared.

An integral part of these participatory activities were the assistants of Prince Kevin and Princess Lisa, who distributed camels to all visitors as they marched in. So the young assessors Tobias Misterek and Max Woitschig had to do it first. The aim was for the duo to dress up as creatively and extensively as possible using all the materials that the young carnival visitors could borrow from other guests in the hall. The result was a colorful and curious mix for both people to be dressed.

Things were a little different during the second participatory event, in which the old princes Torsten and Andre had to take part. The two each acted as leaders of polonaises, in which everyone in the room, large and small, could take part this time. The trains were correspondingly long and also made a large lap outside. As a reward for their efforts, everyone involved received plenty of camels.

A medal and a small reward were given to those active on stage after their performances. As usual, this also included the young Funkenmariechen, who traditionally opened the colorful hustle and bustle at the Schwenker Children’s Carnival with their dance.

The Dance Friends, who were on stage at Friedrichshöhe for the first time last year, also impressed with their dancing skills. Meanwhile, the kindergarten band presented their singing skills in the form of a Mark Forster cover to loud applause. The official program was rounded off by the Rainbows, who performed acrobatics to the music.

After the official part, all of the youngsters were allowed to take over the stage at the children’s carnival disco, which traditionally marked the end.
