“Schwarz defends team amid criticism from Gikiewicz: Śląsk Wrocław fights for survival in Ekstraklasa”

– They’re a bunch of masqueraders who got cool contracts and came to Wrocław to do the job. They don’t care what they leave behind – this is what Łukasz Gikiewicz said about Spaniards performing in Śląsk Wrocław. Petr Schwarz responded to his words.

We already know two inheritors from the Ekstraklasa – Miedź Legnica and Lechia Gdańsk. Currently, Śląsk Wrocław is still in the relegation zone, but Jacek Magiera’s players are fighting to stay in the league. – Today is the most important match against Wisła, and there may be no next one if we don’t win on Saturday. Only “here and now” counts – that’s what the coach of Śląsk said before the match with Wisła Płock. Then his team won 3:1 and thanks to that they are two points from the safe zone.

Schwarz reacts to Gikiewicz’s words. And he defends his teammates. “We are together”

The results of Śląsk Wrocław in this season of the Ekstraklasa were sharply criticized by Łukasz Gikiewicz, referring to, among others, to the attitude of players from Spain. – I think it would be better to drop out of the league. Maybe then someone in the club will wake up and change their strategy. They’re a bunch of disguises who got cool contracts and came to Wrocław to do the job. They don’t care what they leave behind. The management and construction of the club cannot look like this – said the former striker of Śląsk (2010-2013) in an interview with TVP Sport.

Petr Schwarz referred to his words, defending his colleagues. “Everyone wants to help the team, none of them want to lose. The mistakes they make are a different matter, everyone makes them and certainly no one makes them on purpose. As far as behavior is concerned, perhaps they have a slightly different character because they were brought up in a different culture. I don’t think that’s the reason for the current situation. Despite the poor results, we are together and we believe that we will get out of this oppression – commented the Czech midfielder of Śląsk in an interview with TVP sports .

According to the former player of Raków Częstochowa, Sunday’s rivalry with Miedź Legnica will be much more difficult than last week, where the rival was Wisła Płock. – Copper has already fallen, its players have nothing to lose. They will play without any mental burden, they will want to show themselves and bid farewell to the league in the best possible style. We’re up against the wall. But after Wisła Płock, optimism finally appeared – he summed up.

The match between Śląsk Wrocław and Miedź Legnica will start on Sunday, May 21 at 12:30. In the last round, the team led by Jacek Magiera will play against Legia Warszawa – this meeting will take place on May 27 at 5:30 p.m.
