Schwalbe promises flat tires for e-bikes Wide-ranging marketing campaign at the start of the season

Product news: With the promise “We’ll make your e-bike flat”, tire manufacturer Schwalbe is launching a wide-ranging marketing campaign at the start of the season. This is about the Marathon E-Plus, which is intended to enable users to fully exploit the enormous potential of modern e-bikes. Among the flat-less models from Schwalbe, the Marathon E-Plus is the specialist for high-performance e-bikes.

The requirements for an e-bike tire are significantly higher than for comparable, conventional bicycle tires. The electrified bikes offer a lot of power, are driven at higher speeds and are significantly heavier with motor and battery. However, there is one thing that unites both types of bike: the annoyance of a flat tire. The solution for e-cyclists should be the Schwalbe Marathon E-Plus. The tire manufacturer implements the promise “We will make your e-bike flat” with a number of innovative developments. Schwalbe reinforced its patented SmartGuard protective insert with two high-strength fabric layers and thus created the Dual SmartGuard. According to the manufacturer, the finely tuned combination protects the Marathon E-Plus against sharp intruders.

Classified with puncture protection level 7, the tire promises maximum safety at high speeds on long tours. The rubber compound and the profile have also been optimized for e-bike-specific requirements. The compound should ensure the best grip at high speeds, low rolling resistance and long durability. According to Schwalbe, the Marathon E-Plus is also made from fairly traded rubber. For every kilo of rubber, Schwalbe pays a premium that is used one-to-one to improve the living conditions of small rubber farmers and their families.
