Usually, recovery from this type of problem takes 6/7 months, but the fact is that after 12 the Dutchman still feels a lot of pain despite the two operations it absolutely doesn’t give him or Vanoli, who hasn’t yet been able to get to know him from a footballing point of view, any peaceful dreams. Also due to the various complications that made his recovery path even more difficult, the company together chose to move the defender to London to best continue rehabilitation.
Very long ordeal

Recovery times are getting longer and longer
So when will Schuurs return? In recent days, before Vanoli’s words, a return to the field had been hypothesized for the beginning of 2025, in order to be fully available to the team as early as mid-January. Now, however, the feeling is that the times may extend even furtherbut it is impossible to establish a precise date given the precariousness of the situation. The hope, in any case, is that the defender can soon return to doing what he loves after 12 months of agony which have also worn him out from a mental point of view.
