Schumacher’s film Sunday on tv for free

He is THE German racing legend par excellence, with seven world titles he is the record world champion in Formula 1 and the hero of an entire generation. Michael Schumacher (53) disappeared from the public eye after his serious skiing accident on December 29, 2013. The film “SCHUMACHER”, which provides exclusive insights into Schumi’s career and private life, is all the more important.

As a present for the upcoming Formula 1 season finale, the film can be seen for the first time on RTL on free TV from 5.45 pm on Sunday following the live broadcast of the Basilien Grand Prix.

“We are delighted that Michael’s documentary is now celebrating its free television premiere on RTL – after all, he and RTL have a long shared history with Formula 1,” says Sabine Kehm, longtime manager of the Schumacher family.

After the Formula 1 race on Sunday, RTL broadcasts the SCHUMACHER film on free TV for the first time.

“The documentary chronicles Michael’s rise from humble circumstances to become one of the biggest global superstars whose loyalty, passion and willpower continue to inspire many today. As a person, he has always remained true to himself. It’s a matter of heart for his family to tell his story in this film.”

Various comrades such as Mika Häkkinen, Damon Hill or Jean Todt have their say, but above all the family of Michael Schumacher, who speak surprisingly openly about the accident and life after.

“I think Dad and I would understand each other differently now, simply because we speak a similar language, this language of motorsport,” says Mick Schumacher for example. “And that we had so much more to talk about. That would be great! I’d give it all up just for that.”

His mother Corinna chooses equally touching words: “It was just bad luck. You can’t have more bad luck. Michael always protected us. Now let’s protect Michael.

Lest the fans forget anyway, Corinna opens the emotional vault full of pictures and great feelings.
