“Schrotty and Engy” will be stopping off in Graz’s parks from mid-August to early September to introduce Graz’s children and young people to topics such as sustainability, environmental protection, waste avoidance and renewable energies.
GRAZ. The Old-Make-New Mobile by Fratz Grazalso known as “Schrotty and Engy”is back in Graz this summer. The aim is to teach children that objects that break should not be thrown away without thinking. After all, there are countless ways to transform a broken or unused object into something unique or perhaps even better.
“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure”
Since 2020, “Schrotty and Engy” has been touring Styria with the support of the state, the Saubermacher company, Energie Steiermark and Spar Austria. The central themes that are conveyed here include sustainability, Environmental protectionbut also Upcycling, Waste prevention as well as renewable energyParticipating children and young people can “play” with various old materials and parts, do crafts and build new things.
Solar energy, hydropower and your own muscle power can also be used and tried out. The Old-Make-New mobile also stops in gyms, schoolyards, youth centers and parks.
